The Forest Resources Association represents the interests of nearly 300 organizations and businesses in the forest products industry, and is the only national advocacy organization to represent the entire wood supply chain.
The Florida Forestry Association is a statewide membership organization uniquely positioned to bring together those who grow and those who use Florida’s forests. Their mission is to promote the responsible and sustainable use of Florida’s forest resources.
Industry Standard Products and Practices
We know that the product we make today may be in use for generations to come. We stand behind the organizations that create standards for safe materials and construction methods.
The American Wood Protection Association is an international, non-profit, technical society that writes standards for methods, preservatives, and other technologies which protect wood and wood-based products.
The Florida Building Material Alliance promotes the interests of the building material industry. They influence policy making and facilitate in the development of codes and technical standards.

Since 1962, Southeastern Lumber Manufacturers Association has represented the interests of solid sawn lumber manufacturers throughout the southeast. Covering 17 states, SLMA’s goal is to help perpetuate these businesses – businesses that are the essence of many communities throughout the southeast, with an emphasis on government affairs, marketing and management and operational issues.
Big Timber Cattle Company is named after the products produced by our sawmill at Southern Pine Timber Products. Big Timber Cattle Company uses modern techniques such as artificial insemination, embryo transfer, EPD evaluation, and DNA testing to pursue some of the most modern, cutting edge genetics available on the market today.
